Bought this as a gift for my mom for Christmas. I’m sure she’s going to love it!!!
I was hoping it was going to be more affirmation than entertainment. It basically just talks about outdoor exercises. I would rather have encouraging words. It wasn't at all what I expected and I live in an area where I would have to hire someone to bring me to the post office so I am stuck with it. I will not be buying any more books from this company
We belong to the Finnish- American club on Cape Cod and we have a raffle every meeting so I bought it because I won last month. No meetings for a while but I’m
Sure they will love it
My mother was Finnish. Having traveled to Finland 6 times in the last 25 years, I have observed some of the behaviors written in this book. I have a daughter who exhibits some of these features. On the lighter side, that makes me wonder if it's actually in the DNA!
HIlarious and relatable.
I read the book as an assignment of fiction based on fact during an childrens literature class. Once I started I couldn't put it down. I wasn't familar with this part of history. This book is great for any age, but would be ideal for a young girl the age of Emma, in the book.I happen to live in the Houston area and was fortunate enough to have a signed edition.
This turns out to be a hardboard book, perfect for babies and toddlers. It's bright illustrations and simple text are just right for early learning.
I have been getting these for my grandchildren. Have quickly become the favorite books.
Was in Mqt the week before and wondering. If touch of Finland still operating. Had gotten glass figurines from there, when I lived in the Marquette area in 1980-90. Since my dad’s relatives came from Vaasa, am interested in that area off Finland.
As for the UP history, I had heard of Mr. Magnaghi and had seen his books on Amazon kindle. Was surprised to see this UP book was in paperback.
I have lived in the UP for all my life 60+ so am interested in the history of this region
