Finland has the cleanest and purest water on Earth according to UNESCO's global water study among 122 countries.Â
As you may know the home of Santa Claus is in Finland. Joulupukki or "Yule Goat" officially resides in the Arctic circle. The Santa Claus Post Office address: Santa Claus Village, FIN-96930 Arctic Circle.
There are about two million saunas to relax in Finland, enough for the entire Finnish people to take a sauna at the same time.
Finland is also known as the home of the Midnight Sun. In the Finnish Lapland the sun does not set at all for 60 days during summer.
Finland is one of the best places on Earth to spot the Northern Lights as they dance through the sky. More than 200 nights a year in Finnish lapland.
Exotic fauna: Species include Brown bear, elk (moose), reindeer, flying squirrel, Saimaa ringed seal, Arctic fox and Snowy owl.
This was a great magnet...the double sided tape that holds the magnet to the cardboard is very strong so you have to be careful that the magnet doesn't come of the Finland.

The Finnish flag "Siniristilippu" was designed by the artists Eero Snellman and Bruno Tuukkanen at the start of the 20th century when the country declared its independence from Russia.
The cross design symbolizes the fact that Finland is part of the community of Nordic nations. The white is said to symbolize the whiteness of the snow that covers the country. The blue is said to symbolize water in the "Land of a Thousand Lakes".

Finland is one of the best places on Earth to spot the Northern Lights as they dance through the sky. More than 200 nights a year in Finnish Lapland.
In northern Lapland the lights shine usually every other clear night between September and March.
The lights might unexpectedly appear and just as suddenly vanish any time from just after sunset to just before dawn. Bright auroral displays can even light up the snowy arctic landscape enough to help skiers find the way home.
Somewhat disappointing-the sticky substance on the back of the magnet is nearly impossible to remove.

When in Lapland - any time of year - not spotting a reindeer is close to a miracle, as they often feed close to roads and habitation. Spotting them while skiing is not unusual, either.Â
Reindeers are semi-domesticated, and every animal is owned by a herder (or Santa Claus). In Northern Lapland, reindeer husbandry is still a major source of income for many. There are about 200,000 reindeer in Finland and about 6,500 reindeer owners in Lapland.
When visiting in Lapland, you really should try out reindeer safaris. This way you can feel special part of the magic of Lapland just like Santa Claus.
Part of a Valentine’s Day gift for Finnish wife. She liked the magnet, but loved the earings! (and chocolate)

Finland has the cleanest and purest water on Earth according to UNESCO's global water study among 122 countries.Â
Drive through Finland in the summer and you'll find two colors dominating the scenery: green and blue. The forested landscape is dotted with patches of water or, in some areas, vice versa - so numerous they have earned Finland the nickname "the land of the thousand lakes". In fact, the moniker is an understatement, as there are a total of 188,000 lakes in Finland.Â
Finns feel certain closeness to the element of water, and it is a source of livelihood for many.
