Despite Ruutu's simple, symmetrical design, master craftsmen at the iittala Glass Factory went through an extensive process to make the mouthblown glass vase. In total, it takes seven of Iittala Glass Factory's best craftsmen 24 hours to create each vase. The intricate process includes mouth blowing each piece into a steel mould and polishing it afterward. It is Ruutu's pure, even-toned beauty that best exemplifies the expertise of Iittala's colored glass.
