Five maple beads stacked in a single column, each about three-eighths of an inch, dropping a full three inches from a short silver chain — the Sara Earrings are long without being heavy, which is the trick wood makes possible and metal does not. The blush pink is dyed rather than painted, so it varies faintly from bead to bead and the grain stays visible beneath it. A small darkened bead finishes the base of each column and keeps the eye traveling downward. Silver and nickel-free plated brass at the fittings. They move constantly and quietly, and they read as deliberate against a plain neckline — the kind of pair that makes a simple outfit look considered.
