Two Marimekko classics share a single crew sock here. Annika Rimala designed the Tasaraita stripe in the late 1960s as jersey to be worn with jeans by anyone, regardless of age or gender, and it has stayed in the line ever since. This pair runs it in crisp red and white, broken partway up the leg by one of Maija Isola's Unikko poppies in pink. The crew height carries the stripes well up the calf, where they show below a trouser hem or above a boot. The Marimekko Kasvaa Tasaraita Unikko Socks are knitted from a blend that is 80% organic cotton, with polyamide and elastane to hold their shape through repeated washing.
