Aino-Maija Metsola built the Kurre (Squirrel) pattern around a lively brood of squirrels busy collecting and hiding nuts, extending her series of tales from the forest with artwork painted on paper in brush and ink. Warm brown and black hues pop against a crisp off white backdrop, with light blue foliage filling the spaces between. Ideally sized for salads, appetizers, desserts and other assorted snacks, the Marimekko Kurre Salad Plate measures just under 8 inches across and is made from durable white stoneware.
