The Marimekko Räsymatto Hand Towel is woven from organic cotton terry, reversible so off-white dots rest on a rose ground one way and rose dots on off-white the other, finished at both ends with a ribbed pink band. Räsymatto belongs to a Finnish habit of making things by hand and letting nothing go to waste, the rag rug on an allotment cottage floor being its plainest example. Maija Louekari took inspiration from those woven rows in 2009 and enlarged them into round, soft-edged dots.
