Kerääjä — Finnish for gatherer — names this knife exactly for what it does. Designed specifically for foraging and herb harvesting, the Kerääjä is built around a blade geometry unlike anything else in the Marttiini lineup: three punched holes with varied sizes to strip small herb leaves cleanly from their stems in a single pull, a fine serrated edge along the bottom for cutting through tougher plant stems, and a hooked tip sized for harvesting larger plants like lupine. Each element of the blade serves a distinct purpose, and together they cover the full range of what a serious forager or kitchen gardener actually needs in the field.
The stainless steel blade is compact at 2.75 inches, making it precise and easy to control among plants. The heat-treated birch handle is shaped to work comfortably in either hand and with either edge of the blade, however you're working. The tanned brown leather sheath carries a silver foil leaf motif and includes a leather strap and snap clip designed to attach directly to a foraging basket — a practical detail that keeps the knife accessible without occupying a hand.
A thoughtfully designed tool for anyone who forages, grows herbs, or spends time harvesting from the garden.
