Marttiini's 2026 Annual Knife takes its name and inspiration from järvi — the Finnish word for lake. Finland's identity is inseparable from its waters: the stillness of a lake at evening, the shimmer of clear water, the long tradition of fishing that has shaped Finnish life across generations. The Järvi Fillet captures that spirit in every detail.

The 7.5-inch polished stainless steel blade is purpose-built for filleting, and carries reflective laser engravings of a Finnish lake scene along its length. The silver end cap is engraved and a matching lakeside motif — a detail that ties this knife firmly to its moment in time. The handle is heat-treated curly birch, deep and richly toned, with polished stainless steel fittings that complement the natural wood without overpowering it.

The matte black leather sheath is decorated with a blue foil reed motif and marked "MARTTIINI FINLAND 2026." Each knife carries its own individual number.
