A single round maple bead in soft blush pink, just over half an inch across, hangs from a slim hook with a small brass bead at its base — nothing else, no setting, no ornament. Aarikka mixes its colors to a formula written in the 1950s and never published, and it is the reason a pale pink like this holds depth instead of looking chalky: the dye goes into the wood, the grain stays legible through it, and the surface keeps a faint silky sheen.
