Carry a mug of coffee to the kitchen table, tea to the sofa at three, or cocoa out to the porch, and 8.5 oz suits all three. The Marimekko Räsymatto Mug is white stoneware, with four rows of large dots running the whole way around and the handle, rim and interior left plain white. Räsymatto is Finnish for rag rug, woven from clothing worn past mending and cut into strips so nothing goes to waste. Maija Louekari took inspiration from one in 2009 and enlarged its rows into these soft-edged dots, shown here in creamy off-white against a near-black ground. The mug is 3.75 inches tall with a 3.15-inch rim, and it is oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe.
