Sized to sit close against the wrist bone rather than slide around, the Mila Bracelet is made for daily wear. Small red hornbeam beads alternate with slim polished tubes the whole way around, broken once by a larger steel bead. Every sphere is turned truly round — at under a quarter inch across there is nowhere to hide a glue line or a flat spot, which is much of the reason Aarikka works here in a wood this dense. The elastic stretches from 6.3 to 7.5 inches, so it goes on without a clasp and stays put once it is on. It weighs almost nothing on the skin, and the red deepens or lightens slightly bead to bead depending on the tree each came from.
