Most sharpeners do one job. The Marttiini Diamond Sharpener Flat does two — a coarse diamond surface on one side for initial sharpening, and a finer diamond surface on the other for finishing, letting you take a blade through a complete edge restoration with a single tool. Work the coarse side first with circular strokes to remove material and set the edge, then switch to the fine side to smooth out the circular marks and bring the blade to a clean, sharp finish.

The flat paddle form is particularly well suited to sheath knives and makes the sharpening motion easy to control. A groove along the sharpener handles fishing hooks as well. The rubber handle is textured for a secure grip, and at just 2 inches of sharpening surface the whole tool fits easily in a pack pocket or tackle box.

Use with water for best results. Rinse and dry after each use.
