The Marttiini Lynx 131 is the knife that started it all — developed by founder Janne Marttiini in the 1930s and in near-continuous production ever since, with more than four million Lynx knives produced in its wake. It remains one of Marttiini's most trusted general-purpose outdoor knives for good reason: a simple, proven design that handles whatever the day in the field requires.
The 4.33-inch stainless steel blade carries the lynx blade's defining characteristic — the slightly upturned tip — making it an excellent reliable tool for wilderness trips. This steel resists corrosion and resharpens easily, keeping the blade ready for camp tasks, food prep, and general outdoor cutting without demanding careful upkeep.
The handle is varnished Finnish curly birch — the hard varnish finish protecting the wood against moisture while letting the birch's natural swirling grain show through clearly. No two handles are alike.
The natural tan leather sheath is hand-stitched with yellow thread and set with steel rivets, carrying an embossed hunting scene on its face — a nod to Marttiini's deep northern roots. A knife that has earned its place on the belt of anyone who spends real time outdoors.
