Maija Isola designed the Unikko poppy in 1964 as a deliberate departure from Marimekko's otherwise abstract collections — bold, organic, and unmistakably alive. On the Ennallaan dress, that iconic bloom is scaled up dramatically: oversized poppies fill the fabric as a tonal jacquard in off-white and light grey, bold in form while serene in palette.
The slim, straight silhouette falls to midi length with long sleeves and a double-ribbed O-neck — clean and architectural, letting the scale of the print do the work. The fabric blends 55% Wool, traceable to farms practicing regenerative principles, with 45% viscose — a certified sustainable fiber that drapes softly and wears with quiet ease.
A statement piece that earns its place in any wardrobe for years to come. Exceptional as a gift for the Finnish design lover in your life.
