Metsä means “forest” in Finnish. This collection reflects Eero’s personal relationship with the forest, which was his childhood playground and now is a heritage to continue in the family. Eero and his siblings have planted over 45000 seedlings in their land over the past few years. In return, these little birch, pine and spruce have become the themes for his jewelry. Koivu is the Finnish word for birch.
