Kaksin means "together" in Finnish — and this blanket wears that meaning openly. Designed by Armi Teva, a Finnish ceramist, visual artist, and illustrator known for her expressive, free-spirited work, the Kaksin pattern began with flowers and plant illustrations and arrived somewhere unexpected: a pair of swans, their necks curving with the easy confidence of something that was always meant to exist. In Finland, swans carry deep cultural significance as symbols of love and devotion, and here they are rendered large and luminous, woven directly into the fabric in soft beige and white.
Made from 100% pure new wool and brushed to a soft finish at Lapuan Kankurit's mill in Lapua, the Kaksin wool blanket is warm, lightweight, and gentle against bare skin. The muted, natural colorway gives it a quiet elegance that works as beautifully in everyday use as it does as a gift.
