Aito means genuine, and the necklace is built to be exactly what it appears to be: round maple beads, just over half an inch at their largest, on an adjustable strand running from 19.75 to 23.5 inches. The lobster clasp fastens anywhere along the extender chain, so the same necklace sits high near the collarbone or drops toward the breastbone depending on what you have it on with, and a small weighted ball finishes the tail. The red is dyed into the grain and varies subtly bead to bead — the tree decides how deep it goes. Every piece is assembled by hand in Finland: an uncomplicated necklace, and an easy one to wear with almost anything.
