Here the wood is left alone. The Alisa Earrings use undyed maple, varnished clear so the grain reads exactly as it grew — pale, faintly striped, and different on each of the two beads — seated in a silver cap on a sterling post. Each bead measures about three-eighths of an inch across. Aarikka has held that standard since 1954, and it is the whole reason a small wooden stud can feel considered rather than casual.
