Most Unikko tableware keeps the pattern on the outside; this bowl does something different. Maija Isola's poppies climb the exterior in the classic red colorway, cross straight over the rim, and carry on down the inside, so the bowl is as full of flowers when you look into it as when you look at it. Bright scarlet with orange centers and navy stems reads against a warm white ground. A raised foot lifts the bowl slightly, giving it presence among the other dishes on a crowded table. The Marimekko Unikko Footed Small Serving Bowl holds a generous 44 ounces, enough for four to share a salad, fruit, roasted vegetables or a side dish, and is made from durable white stoneware. It is microwave, oven, freezer and dishwasher safe.
