Olive maple and warm gold — the Valma Necklace pairs a color pulled from the Finnish forest floor with hardware that flatters it. Close-set beads a little over three-eighths of an inch across run the full 16.5-inch strand, and the gold toggle fastens at the front rather than the back, with a larger bead nearly three-quarters of an inch hanging below it. Khaki green shifts with the wood beneath: a bead cut from one tree takes it greener, another browner, so the strand carries a quiet variation along its length that a painted finish could never produce. It settles at the collarbone, and the maple keeps it light enough to wear all day.
