Two of Marimekko's best-known patterns meet on a single crew sock. Annika Rimala designed Tasaraita in the late 1960s as an evenly striped jersey to wear with jeans, made for anyone regardless of age or gender, and the stripe has stayed in the line ever since. Here it runs in red, wine and pink from the ribbed cuff down to the toe, broken partway up the leg by one of Maija Isola's Unikko poppies. The crew height sits well up the calf, keeping the stripes visible below a trouser hem or above a boot. The Marimekko Kasvaa Tasaraita Unikko Socks are knitted from a blend that is 65% organic cotton, with polyamide and elastane for stretch and shape retention through the wash.
