Marimekko's Pumpuli Unikko pin showcases two Unikko flowers with a rubber stopper on the back. The Unikko (poppy) pattern, representing imagination, originated during a period when Marimekko rarely featured floral designs. Maija Isola, however, was intrigued by the concept of flowers and developed a vast selection of unique floral prints that are now known as the iconic Unikko pattern.
